What You Can Do to Control Your Acne?

There are some things that you can do to control acne that are not difficult or costly. First, you need to learn as much about your acne condition as you can. Then, you need to find those products or treatments that will best help your specific acne condition.

 

Controlling acne consists of developing a skin care regimen that you will consistently follow. Clearing acne is not usually a one time event. There are multiple options for clearing acne. Besides a good skin care regimen, you may find natural acne treatments, laser acne treatments, changing your diet or taking a prescription from your doctor help you the best.

Before you start spending a lot of time and money to control your acne, there are a few things that you can do now. These are not expensive and in many cases they will help.

 

 

Follow a Regular Skin Care Regimen

First, get in the habit of following a daily acne skin care routine that involves cleaning your face and affected acne skin. Benzoyl peroxide is found in many successful acne products. Use one that has a 2.5% solution. Carefully wash your skin. Be sure not to rub to hard on the skin. This will kill off bacteria causing acne, dead skin cells, and improve the look of your skin.

Once you've completed cleaning your skin, use a moisturizer to keep your skin from getting overly dry. Your primary objective is to clean the skin, not irritate it. If you skin is already irritated, wait for 2-3 days until it return.

Try Natural Acne Treatments

Before seeking out professional or other expensive acne helps, try some natural acne treatments. For example, you can take find vitamin supplements that will help your skin. Some of these include vitamin B6, B-6 complex, C and E.

Take a careful look at your diet. Are you eating a lot of junk food and chocolate? If so, change your diet. Eat low fat foods, fresh vegetables and fruits. Don't forget to drink lots of water. Most people don't come close to drinking enough water. Water hydrates your skin. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. 

Controlling your acne may not be as quick or easy as you'd like. If a clean skin routine and some natural acne treatments do not help you control your acne, then seek professional help. A good dermatologist can work together with you to determine the best treatments and procedures to help you get a handle on controlling your acne.
